Yum Cha Food Tour

Candy Hom of Soup Belly and Howard Hsu of Sweet Auburn BBQ would like to be your food tour guides in their new collaboration, Yum Cha Food Tour! Have you ever been curious about the incredibly diverse Asian food scene in Atlanta, but are overwhelmed and not sure where to start? Where is the best dim sum located? Who does the best dry fried eggplant? The crispiest, juiciest pork belly? The most flavorful soup dumplings? Come with us to explore restaurants you’ve always wanted to try around town.

Our first food tour will be in Duluth!

Guests can park in the garage located behind Tio Luchos, head across the street to Sweet Auburn BBQ for a welcome cocktail, then hop on the shuttle to head to the Asian food mecca located in Duluth. 

Itinerary:

Our first stop will be to sample a few dim sum items at a well known Cantonese restaurant. Next, we will head to a popular Asian food court to try a variety of food stalls that offer soup dumplings, Xi’an specialties, and traditional Taiwanese dishes. After walking it off through an Asian grocery store and a cute Japanese boutique store, we will head back to Sweet Auburn BBQ to end the day.

Please be open-minded and ready to try everything we offer! Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate or offer substitutes for dishes - please let us know if you have any allergy concerns. We aren’t ordering per requests as this tour is to highlight what Howard and Candy chose to share with the group, but attendees are welcome to purchase any other food they want to try themselves - time permitting. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable to another date. In the event you are no longer able to attend, you are welcome to find an alternate. 

Although the event goes from 2:00pm - 5:30pm, please allow us some flexibility in time, taking Atlanta traffic into consideration. Comfortable walking shoes are also strongly encouraged. Open for foodies 12 years and older.
